Members Present: Ron Repp, Bob Schindler and Gary Jackson.
Others Present: Rick Wheeler
Ron Repp, president, opened the public hearing on the new proposed rate ordinance No. 1-2008, which had been introduced before the board on Feb. 11, 2008. There were no public comments regarding the new rate ordinance. Bob Schindler motioned that the new rate ordinance be accepted and put into effect with the next monthly billing (May 1, 2008). Gary Jackson seconded this motion and all voted in favor thereof. A copy of this new rate ordinance is attached.
The financial statements for the three months ending March 31, 2008 were reviewed. The checks written for those three months were also reviewed. The balance sheet at March 31, 2008 showed cash of $324,000.00 and debt of $301,000.00. It was again noted that when C/D’s mature we will lock at paying off debt first before reinvesting in another CD. Copies of these financial statements and check register are attached.
It was noted that we need a statement from the bank of all cash accounts and C/D’s showing the balance of each at month end. We are asking New Washington State Bank to provide this monthly statement to us.
Rick Wheeler stated that he planned to test the lagoons for sludge build up in the near future. If the lagoon needs to be cleaned, it would be a major expense.
Rick Wheeler was authorized to purchase a small discharge pump at a cost of up to $450.00 for emergency use at the pumping stations.
The month’s bills were reviewed and approved for payment.
The meeting was then adjourned.
